Choppertown

So I finally go the movie "Choppertown" and I have to say it was pretty good. The film was well edited and had a nice flow to it. The doc follows Kutty and his bro's as he gathers pieces for his chop. The movie basically has him going from one "sinners" shop to another as they all lend a brother a hand a bringn' a vision to life.

I particularly like the was the film does not immortalize or create a worship status of any one player. They all come across as equals. Scott Di Lalla & Zack Coffman did a great job of documenting and capturing the excitement of hearing your ride come to life after puttin in many long hours

nice job

Morgan severely injured

The Canadian Moto X and Sno X world was rocked this weekend by the announcement that rockstar and all around nice guy Blair Morgan was severely injured at the Montreal Supercross. While I do not profess to know exactly the extent of his injuries my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

here is a link to the most recent news provided by his wife

here we go

here we go... and where is that? the end of the riding season is fast upon us and it is time to park the scoots. So what does that leave us with? A full winter season to contemplate new ideas, new modifications, or possibly building a ground up ride. This was my first summer to ride my ground up build based off of a CFL frame. Now for some "master builders" this may not be a great feat but for joe garage I was quite pleased with myself. the bike ran strong and allowed me to have my first blast out to the Sturgis rally with my pops.

So winter is coming and these are the things I will reflect on... my new scoot, rolling with family and friends and the future progress of my new build.

so why the hell this blog? it is more for me to keep track of build progress and to share images of some of the bike/builders I really respect and adapt (steal) ideas from. So welcome to 50's Haze and feel free to post what ever ya like...
