just the other day

Was talking about H.S. Thompson the other day.... reminded me of this

No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride…and if it occasionally gets a little heavier than what you had in mind, well… maybe chalk it off to forced conscious expansion: Tune in, freak out, get beaten.

Pulling my wire.

I used to hate wiring so much, but I now find it therapeutic for some reason. This is the view from my stump while wiring my homie Csik's cb550 chopper.

progress on the JYD

We had more fun with the JYD at slider's last night. I planed the rocker boxes until my arms fell off while Cole, Sluggo, and Slider worked on the heads and getting the bottom end back together. The JYD has a few "performance mods" like a custom ground cam out of a 70's Travel-All R.V.

Pure Hell

One of drag racing's most famous cars ever, read the story on pure hell here.

A keen eye would notice those bitchin' 12 spoke magnesium wheels gracing the front of this insane altered. If you were at all curious about the whereabouts of these exact wheels, you might wanna swing back over to the Rigid Hips blog. Cuz someone just got a new mag for his long bike....

Hello Blog folk. The guys here at 50's Haze asked me to be a contributor to their blog so i thought i would give you a quick intro. my name is Dirk but most people know me as "sluggo's brother". Since i can remember i've loved old stuff. especially hot rods, custom cars, and old bikes. i was born in the wrong decade. I am currently the secretary for Los Chops car club and i'm in the middle of chopping my 53 chevy. I just finally started the bike project of my dreams: a 48 wishbone frame, 16" rear and 18" front, and i'd like to run a big twin flathead. the look with be something out of the wild one. more to come...

Incredible

I had to repost this video after i saw it over at Chico's blog. Watch it and be blown away...

Actually no lame ass photoshop filter here, just LED christmas lights around the garage door at night. Tis the season assholes.

Rigid Hips

There are outrageous and amazing things happening in far away places, like Stockholm for example.

Like a narrowed springer extended oh say about 4 fucking feet...

or a 2000cc dual carb, knuckle headed sportster motor....

or even a 92" knucklehead with chain driven magneto and dual linkert heads among other hidden oddities.

Wonders of mechanical beauty in a far away land...

fuckin' rad Dad

so this is the first family car I remember us having. The ever practical 1974 Olds 442. A god damn fuel suckin, tire burning, speed shifting bit of glory!!! My dad is now 64 and has not changed a bit. Still loving the impractical.
