California in a nut shell

I gotta say i'm pretty much speechless. We had such a great time. I'm no pro when it comes to taking pictures so i'll let the more photo-worthy bloggers out there show you all the amazing bikes and happenings at the big show. Heres just a little run down of our trip.

Fly in, in-n-out burger, checked out the OBEY headquarters (thanks Chris!), Check in @ Huntington Beach, sleep, Born Free - Mind numbing - too beat for the Dice Party, sleep, Swap meet, Burn to a crisp on the beach, booze to relieve the pain, sleep, shopping, drive down coast, lay on beach in t-shirt and cover up 2nd degree burns on legs, more booze for pain, sleep, fly home.

We were there for less then five days but it felt like much longer. Had such a good time, met so many cool people, great memories. Can't wait to go back. I'll randomly post more pics as i go through them.

Dusk ride to the sun

An evening ride in Saskatchewan is so great. Cool air, no cars, red skys and long roads stretching out in front.

Sunday Funday

Well not all fun, but the day started off perfect with my kids taking me out for breakfast, followed by a great walk by the river and an afternoon of trampoline and the usual kinda fathers day bonding stuff. Then comes what was meant to be the perfect evening for a ride out to the casino to throw some money down the toilet. One mile out of town and my clutch hub nut backs off, shit! Steer off the nearest exit and land right in front of an ice cream stand. Tasty. Not too sure who the hell E.R. Bear is. One quick call to my homeboy CSIK with the rescue truck (with cold beers in a bag I should add, homeboy rules!). Robin shows up outta no where. weird. Load up and head back to town. Fuck. Hours of beer drinking and hilarity to follow... Not such a bad day I guess...

Tracy

I know he's gonna regret it, but thats just the way it goes sometimes. Our good buddy Jordan has this insane Tracy body up for sale here Don't pass this one up as you will never come across another!

A pretty good day

well we managed to get a few miles in the other day, followed by a few tasty refreshments at our favorite watering hole. Good times, but i got an itch to put on some real miles... starting to get the road trip itch! Dam I wish we were hitting the road to Born Free with these bikes rather than just flying on a big bird. Maybe next year....

Where's Fifty?

We're in there somewhere! We are very proud and excited that we could help out with the Born Free show this year as a logo sponsor, what little we were able to contribute hopefully helps make it a great day for everyone. I encourage EVERYONE reading this to get out and support grassroots events like this one and help keep them alive. Big thanks to all the sponsors, Mike Davis, Grant Peterson, and everyone else involved for making this very cool event a reality. Can't wait! See ya there! BORN FREE

XXX

Just found out that the roman numeral for 30 is XXX. Not too sure whats thats supposed to symbolize for me but i just turned XXX the other day.

More Duke

I really dig the impala but this Pan is worth a closer look. Anyone know any history on it? Who built it?

The Duke of Wilmington

I don't know much about Allan Duke (aka The Duke of Wilmington) but what I do know is he built some of the coolest (and influential) early California lowriders and obviously was no slouch when it came to style and class with everything he touched. Just check out the video of him cruising in his 64 (in 1968-69) on the streets of Somewhereville, California. Coolest motherfucker on the road. And check out those bikes, early pic is 1963 and later chop in 1979. Class for days.
